Church Dating Series Includes Song from Grease that Glorifies Pre-Marital Sex
May 1, 2008 by John
What could be more relevant than performing a song from Grease that glorifies pre-marital sex?
Here is ‘Summer Nights’ as performed by Granger Community Church.
“She Was Good. You know What I mean.”
What is Granger Church teaching folks with a performance like this?
Apparently Granger forgot a few passages of scripture that are relevant to their use of so-called ‘relevance’.
Galatians 6:14 But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
James 4:4 You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

I think I was watching an episode of American Idol, wasn’t I?
I just don’t see how this musical performance, in any way glorifies God. In no way did this song exalt the name of Christ either whereby people will be drawn to Him.
Every time I see stuff like this, it greives my heart terribly and I cringe to think that these ministries are not pleasing God very much for being so much like a Broadway show in New York City.
Thanks for posting.
